Sound Of Color

Anyone heard of the 'Sound of Color' project by GAP?

Well basically (and I quote) five bands were commissioned to write five songs based on five different colors. Five directors then shot music videos of each song/color. Below is the color Red (since Red day is up next) done by Dntel. If anyone has heard of the band The Postal Service, he's part of it.

Anyhow, translating color into "sound" or music has always been rather interesting to me – though some of the songs don't quite agree with my feel of that color (you can check out the rest on Youtube, I especially like this one on yellow by Marie Digby).

I thought the Red song and video were quite accurate portrayals, especially the constant pulsating projections which really give the feeling of impulsiveness, emotion, heartbeat etc etc.....
